This week’s app is for those who struggle with grammar or simply want to sharpen their writing skills! By now, you may have heard of Grammarly. The company has been around for over a decade but has expanded its offerings to include some pretty cool features.
In case you’re not familiar, Grammarly is a cloud-based typing assistant that helps users improve their writing skills with detailed feedback. The tool goes beyond grammar by helping you make your writing clear, concise, and compelling.
In addition to the online app, users can download Grammarly via desktop or mobile app. Options for a Chrome Extension and Microsoft Office Add-In are also available.
When it comes to their product offering, Grammarly has three types of plans. The free version of the application includes basic writing suggestions, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation. There’s also a premium plan for individuals that offers suggested rewrites, tone adjustments, plagiarism detection, word choice, fluency, etc. Lastly, the business plan includes teams of 3 up to 149. This includes everything in Premium and style guides, snippets, brand tones, analytics, and more.
Among some of the stand-out features of Grammarly is its ability to provide real-time writing suggestions no matter where you’re working. Whether you’re using the online Grammarly Editor, writing an email in Gmail/Outlook, taking notes in OneNote, or crafting a post on LinkedIn, Grammarly has you covered.
Remember: it’s never too late to brush up on your writing skills. Having a poorly written resume or email to a customer can make you loose major credibility points. Adopting writing-based tools like Grammarly can help you prevent any mistakes, before they happen.
