May 5 small business social planned in Dennison

People can learn about business resources, websites and community development during the small business social from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 5 in Dennison.

DENNISON — Rural Action will hold a small business social from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 5 at the Streetside Center, 416 Center St. The site was formerly the Masonic Lodge.

A panel of speakers will be present to answer questions about starting, running and growing a small business. Speakers will discuss small business resources, websites, and community development. The panel includes:

● Dan Vorisek, Rural Action Resilient Communities director, who will speak about the Kiva loan platform and community development in Appalachia.

● Mary Popa, Rural Action Resilient Communities, website design.

● Stephen Schillig, Small Business Development Center, will talk about what his office offers and provides.

There will be time for questions along with a large group conversation. Light refreshments will be served. For more information, email [email protected].
