‘Great Business Plan’ Pak Food Delivery App Promises To Refund Order Amount ‘If India Lose’

The next chapter of the India-Pakistan cricket rivalry will be written today when the two titans clash in their opening matches for the T20 World Cup 2021 at the Dubai International Stadium.

In the social media era, such contests are a marketing goldmine for businesses across the borders and the brands tend to make the most of it. This time around, the food delivery apps in the two countries decided to go on an internet sledging session while truly entertaining the supporters of the two sides.

For starters, pun unintended, Careem Pakistan came up with an offer in which they will refund the entire order amount to their first 500 customers if the Babar Azam-led side ended up defeating the Men in Blue.

Indian fans took this opportunity to sarcastically compliment the business for finding a great way to make money, simply because they know that India will not lose against their boys, especially with the incredible and unbeaten record they have had against Pakistan in all of World Cup and T20 World Cup matches.

After trolling the Pakistani business app, Indian fans were wondering what were the Indian food delivery services were up to before the legendary rivalry match and they were not disappointed at all.

Zomato took the first strike against the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and offered to deliver “burger and pizze” after today’s match and conformed them saying that they were just one DM away.

They were obviously referring to the hilarious video which went viral a couple of years ago after Pakistan lost to Indian in the World Cup 2019 contest and a Pakistani fan, Momin Saqib, made fun of the reports of them eating junk food a night before the match.

Indian fans once backed them up and even offered to pay for the burger and pizze if the PCB would want to order some once the match was over and the result would not be in favour of their squad.

In the history of the T20 World Cups, the two sides have clashed a total of five times, including twice during the 2007 edition when India and Pakistan played also played against each other in the final. All five times, the Men in Blue have been victorious.
